Requirements

BrainWatch requires a NeuroSky MindWave Mobile 2 EEG headset (sold separately) connected via Bluetooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

The app can't find my headset

• Make sure the MindWave Mobile 2 is powered on
• Turn the headset off and back on, then tap Retry in the app immediately
• The device has a short connection window right after boot
• Do NOT pair via iOS Settings — BrainWatch connects directly

My brainwave readings look wrong

BrainWatch uses a single dry electrode on the forehead. Readings reflect frontal lobe activity and are best used for relative comparisons over time, not as absolute measurements. Ensure the headset fits snugly and the sensor makes good contact with your skin.

How do I save a session?

After a timed session ends, you will see a note field and a Save & Done button. Type an optional note and tap Save. Your session will appear in the History tab.
